Student Assistance and Family Empowerment
Purpose
The Student Assistance and Family Empowerment Program, or SAFE, provides a comprehensive range of prevention and intervention services for students and their families at the elementary and secondary schools in the District. The focus is based on students' needs in the areas of alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, and violence prevention. A variety of curricula and programs are used to support that goal.
SAFE
Each school has a Mental Health Designee who works collaboratively with the student services team and others to put resources and interventions into place that support social/emotional wellbeing and student success. Piedmont Lakes Middle School's Mental Health Designee is our SAFE Coordinator, Christian Marinas.
Contact Christian Marinas for more information.
