Let’s Read, OCPS!, a district-wide reading challenge, will run from January 26 to April 30, 2026, and aims to encourage students to read for enjoyment and develop a lifelong love of reading by contributing to the district-wide goal of reading 50 million minutes.

Greetings!  

Welcome to Piedmont Lakes Middle School and thank you for choosing Orange County Public Schools for your child’s education.  I am excited to serve as your Proud Principal at Piedmont Lakes Middle School.  I have 28 years of education experience in Orange County Public Schools.  I am proud to have served my entire career in Apopka Area schools.  Piedmont Lakes Middle School has made tremendous academic gains from the past school year as evidenced by improving our school letter grade to a “B.”  This achievement is due to a devoted staff who takes pride in providing high caliber instruction and building collaborative relationships with their students. We owe it to our students and community to maintain our academic success. We look forward to increasing proficiency levels and lowering the achievement gap between our students on standardized assessments.  Piedmont Lakes Middle School offers a variety of enrichment opportunities that include the Performing Fine Arts, Future Farmers of America, Visual Arts, Digital Arts, Spanish Language Acquisition, STEM-Engineering, Informational Computer Tech, and Extracurricular Sports that include the 2024-2025 Boys Track & Field Cluster Champions!  Piedmont Lakes Middle School stands above the rest due to the collaborative effort between our community and highly dedicated staff.  I look forward to working with you as we ensure every student at Piedmont Lakes Middle School has a promising and successful future.
